Here’s a jolly little Cichlid (that’s a fish incase you weren’t sure) from Lake Malawi. My tropical fish range is nearly finished- just a few more to do.
The blog will be taking a short break next week as I’ll be away in Cornwall, blissfully disconnected to such things as computers and phones.
These are the sort of fish that probably spend their days gliding about coral reefs showing off to each other. Personally, I think the one on the right may have slightly over done it with the patterns, but that’s actually what he looked like.
I’ve been experimenting with a limited colour palette to bring a bit of unity to what might otherwise have been a rather chaotic-looking bunch of fish.
Update: You can now buy my completed Tropical Fish collection of greetings cards in my etsy shop.
I’ve been working on another range of cards for my etsy shop based around the sea. Being British fish, these aren’t exactly the most colourful, so I took the opportunity to liven them up with some jazzier colours.
